Dr. Monica Jackson-Buxton

Dr. Monica Jackson-Buxton is a native of Rural Hall, NC, a trainer, entrepreneur, wife, mother, mentor, and speaker. With her husband and 2 boys, she currently lives in Gastonia, NC. Monica holds 4 degrees: BS Biology, BS in Business & HR, Master’s in Human Resources Development, and (DBA) Doctor of Business Administration and Talent Management. After completing her undergraduate studies, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Professionally she has served in various leadership roles from Training Manager, Workforce Development advocate, and HR Manager.

 

Currently, she is the Director of Human Resources for a Broadcast Media Production and Distribution company. In her spare time, she is a thriving entrepreneur/CEO of “The Ultimate Ensemble”, as a Paparazzi Independent Consultant. This year she was awarded the role of Pageant Director for “Carolina Women Rock” pageant system.

Monica has recently caught the bug, to compete in beauty pageants. On March 11th, as Mrs. Gastonia Plus America, she placed 2nd runner up in the NC Plus America State Pageant. July 2nd Monica (Mrs. Cardinal State) was crowned 5th in the nation in the Miss Plus America National Pageant. On October 15th, she will walk the stage one more time to compete in the Ms Corporate America pageant.

Her pageant platform and non-profit organization is “Stepping into Your Prepared Place”! This is Monica's pathway to be a vessel and help others reach their full potential, personally and professionally. While striving to always reach back and empower, everyone she meets to achieve success in higher education, entrepreneurship, and personal development. Recently she was also honored as one of the queens for the Women’s Health Month Celebration (Best Life, Best You) and featured as a motivational speaker on “The Voice of Many” podcast
